Logitek
-- I've also posted this thread in the 3D & Plants Software Forum -- Sorry in advance if you read it twice ! Hello there, I've looked just about everywhere to find an answer to this question, but I haven't been able to find anything, so here I am... When I put an Onyx Tree in a scene (from the Max Tree Storm plugin) and I want to render it with Vray DR, only the regions rendered with my workstation show the tree... All regions rendered with my slave machines render like if there was no tree. The TreeStorm plugins are on the slave machines as well as all Onyx files. I know everything works fine when I convert the tree to a VrayProxy, but I don't want to do that when I'm in the process of trying out vegetation arrangements in my scene. I don't know if the problem comes from Vray or Onyx (or probably just a missing path setup), so if anyone has the answer, I would really appreciate! Thanks in advance, Matthieu DELARUE www.archimed-studio.com
JamesTaylor
make sure any paths are made using a UNC path to the file and also ensure that the treestorm plugin is installed on both machines
Logitek
Thanks for your reply James. Could you tell me how to setup a UNC path? I have a local network with no server... I don't know if that will be a problem. Right now, what I do is keep the same folder tree in all machines. I thought that would be enough. And by the way, all plugins are installed on all machines. thanks again for your help. Matt
