cbass Posted November 19, 2007 Share Posted November 19, 2007 Hey guys I have been messing with 3ds Max the last few months and am trying to find a way to render parking lots. I have figured how to do alot of different projects with it but cant find any tuts on how to do a parking lot. I dont need anything to crazy just would like to know how to do them. Here is a link to the drawing I am using from autodesk. http://jaypage.com/test%20model.pdf The building comes up fine and I can add texture and materials to it but cant figure out how to add them to the parking lot. ipxstudios Posted November 20, 2007 Share Posted November 20, 2007 one thing that helps me is bringing in the cad drawing and using the sweep modifier on the curb lines and sidewalks to build them faster. Use the sweep on all the parking lines at the same time, make them 4" wide and really thin, then set them right ontop of the pavement.
