Coreyhrpr
Does anyone know why I get a blurry panoramic image 100% of the time, not matter what resolution, when using the Panorama exporter in Viz? Any help is greatly appreciated
chuck
i'm in the same boat, as it renders each frame they are crisp, but once compiled as a vr its all blurred... any progress? chuck
ZepSOFD
Basically the pan exporter reduces the resolution by around 1/4th, so if you are rendering at 2000x.... you will get a final image size of about 500x... So you need to render at a large resolution, like 5-6000x... before you start to get quality images. of course this is just my opinion from testing, tom
salf
in addition to that, why i get some strange shadows or lights in my image? Ill try to post a screenshot, but the thing is that the final panorama image, have some weird shadows and lights that shouldnt be there.
salf
Ok, heres the strange shadows i get, dont mind the blurry, its not a final image, just a test to show you my problem. Is an interior space, with 2 levels, and a spiral stair, the whole lighht gets inside by a panoramic window. I took 3 screenshots of the final Panorama image, i moved it towards the left side (2d shot) and more to the left and up (3rd shot) Now, see those strange shadows circled in red?, why?. Also, see the dotted yellow line?, thats the real edge where the wall links with the ceiling, however, my strange shadows seems that it camoes from a second "edge between the wall and ceiling", so it gets confusing. Jason Matthews
I believe the problem lies in the radiosity solution. Try this: Open the render dialog box and make sure the compute radiosity when required button is checked. Secondly, a resolution of at least 2048x1024 is required. I can't promise that it always workks correctly, but it should render you model with precision. Good Luck!
Jason Matthews
Oh yeah, I don't believe those are shadows by the way. Look closely at where those frames are taken. It looks like Viz trying to stitch the images together.
abicalho
Are you using Log Exposure Control or Automatic? -alexander
salf
Actually i didnt use a Radiosity solution, since this was justa test of the Panorama feature, im gonna try it again with radiosity.
abicalho
Even without Radiosity, did you use Exp Control? It looks like it... Alexander
salf
Im a newbie with VIZ, so im not sure if i understood you. As far as i know the Logaritmic Exposure Control is only available when applying Radiosity, or is there other one?
abicalho
Rendering > Environment - there's an Exp Control rollout. Is there anything there? It looks, to me, as if you have an Automatic Exposure Control and you're rendering a panorama. Or you may have the Perspective Correction Modifier. Either of them will cause problems when VIZ tries to join the corners of the panorama. The Automatic Exp Control will process one Lighting level for each of the 6 views of the panorama, and the result will be very similar to what you have.
