emu
Hi there! Does anyone have experience with VRay in combination with Rhino or Sketchup? How are texturing (UVW coordinates), material editor, lights and cameras compared to Max? Are there any limitations? http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=section&id=6&Itemid=59 I am working in an architecture office and we are thinking of purchasing rhino & Vray, 1700€ seems to be a real bargain compared to VIZ. I have some experience on Max and Vray but can´t asses if it´s worth switching to Rhino. Last but not least, we are designing almost no freeform architecture. Perpendicular, simple forms would also get sketchup in the range of descisions.
Ricardo Eloy
From my experience, there are some limitations. Not really VRays fault, I guess, but Rhino and Sketchup are not really good with materials, so I guess there's little VRay could add.
