selos69
Interesting. Might have to buy this book! Personally though, I find adding a displacement modifier to the roof to be quicker and less hassles (usually).
Peter M. Gruhn
Last project I had a standing seam roof. Modeled the seams as renderable rectangular section splines. Worked nicely.
Rconce01
Your normals might be inverted... this happens alot when you bring in stuff from cad. Use a normal modifier to flip it. Hi guys, I know it has been touched on but i couldnt seem to find an answer that works. On the roof im using a corrugated displacement map and its coming up with triangulated/diamond patterns on the roof. I imported a CAD file and traced it with a spline which i then extruded a little. It happens only sometimes (on different jobs) which is confusing me. Any advice would be much appreciated. P.S. Please ignore the quality of the work (and the design..YUK!). It was done ver very quickly!
