blowback
Here is something new I have been working on......NEXT.
chiquito
Nice building. I find the colours or textures like hard to mix with the foreground, cant specify precisly what, but looks kinda diferent, also the light post in first plane hase like a poor gradient, dont know if its to be like a hand stroke on watercolour, but it does look somethin like it. Other than that I would place some urban life into it, cars, buses, people, underground stations, publicity, shops... it would help the image blend very nicely. To much PS? about the phrase you have as signature, do you know the name of the paradox? (the cat in the box)
blowback
Thanks chiquito I have some time today to touch it up. I will give it a little urban life. I agree about the light post......needs some work. Never to much C&C. The phrase is from the thought experiment called Schrodinger's Cat.
Tommy L
I think if you are going to use a large foreground element like the lampost you have there, you should really make it a good one. That lampost is a bit dull, give it some really good materials and make it a higher poly model.
WAcky
Im liking it so far. Agree with the comments above. The thing that gets me is the texture on the building to the right. Its a bit too much texture information for a flat surface (is it?) Looking forward to seeing more about the phrase you have as signature, do you know the name of the paradox? (the cat in the box) Its a thermodynamics example!
chiquito
Thermodynamics... interesting. Its a whole subject. I read it was related to quantic physics (not sure about the spelling), but as its only solution is an imaginary scenario, I guess the cat can be melted and while hot be able to squeeze out of the box. jeje:p

I got them wrong. Im reading a book which talks about all this stuff and i mixed them up.
blowback
Here is a revised copy. Thanks for all the cc. I tried to work in some of the suggestions.I am still a little unsatisfied with the lighting but.....out of time. I love quantum physics.....I have a hard time with the math but I love the philosophical questions it raises.
Zeilveen
you lucky man, nice project there :-) for me the image has too much colour on the surrounding buildings. I would lower the satu or add some fog gradient, so your design part gets more natural attention that way, Ronald
blowback
Thanks Ronald, I am a little busy to go back to this one but I will try and work that in next project. This was my first attempt at using site photographs as textures. This one could definitely could use a little finesse but.....no time. Here is a detail.
