goo
http://www.goocando.com/test.htm Hi peeps. help me please,i know its not too good , but how can i improve this image without having to do much more modelling? i mean improve on the textures and lighting. im using daylight-sunlight system with omni to produce the dust streak. and standard textures from viz. The background is just an background enviroment how can i make look like the building is on land instead of floating in the clouds. me being stupid uploaded an older image, i have added windows and frames and doors in the newer one, but still look pap. thanks 4 the help if i get any cheers goo
Jason Matthews
Can you post your settings. Are you using radiosity? Straighten up you camera for starters. It looks really flat. It could be the angle. Take off the dust effect and work with just the reular light for now. There is really not much to the scene. You need area shadows around the painting and the beams. Eventhough there is no direct light, the should still have shadows. You carpet texture looks like stucco. Step back the scale a little. If you are using radiosity, turn down the brightness of the exposure control. Change these few things and repost.
goo
i won't be able to post a revised image till next week, but im using radiosity, brightness=37 contrast=45 scale=9000 filter=2 i've overrided the carpet and pictures they bleed way to much. how do i add shadow to pics and beams with just sunlight? cheers
William Alexander
Goo, Try to decrease meshing size of the Radiosity meshing parameters, something like 1'. This allows for a greater range of low to higher illumination of a smaller area rather than consistant lighting over a large area. For example the darking of the corners will become more pronounced. Using logarithmic exposure? If not, try it, check exterior daylight, up the brightness. This really seems to increase the dynamic range of the image, less flat. The scale may also be burning the image. If the image is dark, before changing defualt scale, use the Daylight / skylight multipliers or intensity parameters to increase the brightness. Run the solution to 95% or better. It could be all of the above or none. Basically it looks as if there is little or no radiosity. Saturn is correct, save the effects for later, it will cut down on render times! rgrds WDA
Ismael
Radiosity panel mesh subdivision or select object and Properties\Radiosity. Select byObject and change mesh and refines. Refines are good and needed but stay away from Filter and never go avobe 4 for Filter if you use it.
