STRAT
nice start, but the whites are way too bright and overblown
gfa2
nice start, but the whites are way too bright and overblown I kind of agree, but it almost looks like it's a bloom effect done in post, maybe it's intentional.

Tommy L
Yes theres a bloom.....and I agree on the grass. Just getting used to MR, one step at a time....
AJLynn
That built in concrete doesnt have score lines and maybe there should be a detail for the glass on the left. Aside from that I love it.
fzappa
try "glare" shader for that overbright effect!
kippu
good test image ...did you use just FG or FG and GI?.. what was the time like
Tommy L
That built in concrete doesnt have score lines and maybe there should be a detail for the glass on the left. Aside from that I love it. Point taken on the glass. Do you mean the floor slab should have score lines? Kippu, this was just FG. It took around 6 hours at 3000/2000 (16/64) on a intel quad 2.4 w/ 2g
AJLynn
With something that large I'd usually have score lines at a regular interval to make the control joints less obvious (or if it's a ground floor it would have them anyway).
Justin Hunt
16/64 is too high, 4/16 would be more than enough even as low as 1/16 would be ok. Then the render time would brop dramatically. What are the FG settings? Nice image as well JHV
Tommy L
I tried it at several different settings but a lot of the leaves on the bamboo disappeared if it was lower than 16/64. The FG settings was the medium preset. Ill post another one when it progresses.
Tommy Burns
Yeah settings are very high I only ever use 1/16 and Draft for FG exterior it doen't seem to be a really complex scene. something like this i'd expect to render in 30 mins
