emo_sms
i am currently working on a model with real footprint dimensions of app 75 x 25 M.I import it into 3dmax.Will there be any benefits if I scale it down 10 times in order to get shorter render times with MR?I thing i felt max itself handling it easier as about geometry, but as about render calculations?and is it enough if I also scale the lights intensity 10 times down? Both for MR lights and photometric lights? notamondayfan
why dont you do a simple test and see what happens?
alrawli
To be honest there wont be any real benefit in scaling down the scene. The size of the scene in terms of dimension doesnt matter too much, whats more important in terms of render time is polycount, materials and lights. chiquito
keep in to mind that if you scale ir down, you will loose "conenectivity" between the original file and the scaled down version.
ameo
I recommend you to leave the scale as it is. If you scale it result will be worse.
