jophus14
I have attached three images. The first is the viewport in wireframe through the Physical Camera. The second is the Top Viewport showing the camera location and focal points. And the third is the render in process. My problem is that I only need what I see in the Physical Camera's viewport and not what i am getting in the render. I am rendering out at 1280 X 960. My first view of this particular scene took roughly 44 hours to render and I cannot wait that long for this view only to crop out what I need from it and delete the rest. Any idea why I am getting so much of my scene rather then just what I am seeing through the view of the Physical Camera? Thanks.

aaron-cds
Let's see your camera settings. One thing you might try is creating a new camera and deleting the original one that's screwed up.
jophus14
My Film Gate was 40 and my Focal Length was 35. I had to change my Film Gate to 24 in order to get the view I wanted for rendering even though the lens is zoomed in through the cameras viewport. Billabong
Sorry Joseph about suggesting something I'm sure you already knew about, I just didnt see them activated in your viewport.
Ricardo Eloy
I still think you should turn on the safe frame option. You're using a widescreen monitor (16:9) and rendering a regular pic (4:3). When you turn safe frame on, you'll see exactly what is going to be rendered. Then, you can choose the image aspect you wnat and set your camera properly. thierrybauwens@inpix.be
to get a more rectangular picture on have to change your resolution aspect ratio. Example, the default resolution (800*600 and all derivated)is 4:3 but if you are working on a wide screen the viewport will look more like 16:9. Like said before, if you turn on safe frame, you will see exactly the area rendered in the viewport. Then you change resolution, for example you set it to 800*400 ratio, and will see that the area to render in the viewport changes aspect ratio.
