gazbo
Hey all, Not posted in ages, I've been taking a break. I finished my degree and got a first! so thanks to all who helped me out earlier this year. I've got a question about the best approach to take with an exterior shot I'm working on. This is the first model I've imported from Revit, and I'm really pleased with how well it works, I haven't needed to flip any normals or do any tidying up of the model. I'm using Max2008 and would like to know the easiest way to give the impression that some of the lights are on in the various rooms. Obviously this is a large building so I'm looking for the most efficient solution, any ideas? I was looking at using the new self illumination glow feature on the A&D shader which I have used for the beacon but doesn't seem to work so well for the rooms. Tommy Burns
Just put shapes on the ceiling and apply self illumination and then tick the affect FG box this will mean it will light the rooms works great.
Justin Hunt
Rather than on the coiling place them parallell to the window, set back a couple of meters. Create three of four vatiations of the a&d shader with different shades of green/yellow and place these randomly through out the building. Use a MRsky, no sun set to the appropriate time of day. Play with the exposure control to get the right balance JHV
