ronll
I need to do some experimenting with Sketchup 3D models that have been exported to Acad2000. I'll probably buy Sketchup Pro but I need to be sure I can do what I think I can with it. Does anyone have a very simple model they can let me try? Even just a cube would be fine. It needs to be either a .DWG (prefered) or .DXF readable in Acad 2000. I'm assuming this isn't breaking any license or copyright rules, if anyone thinks otherwise please let me know. Thanks
Dave Buchhofer
Might as well just ask what you are trying to do I'm sure its been done by someone here lol. Dont have sketchup at home to help out with a file, but ask away~
ronll
I still use a rendering engine that I wrote many years ago. Believe me, what I need doesn't exist. But I need to understand the format of the sketchup->.DWG output.

ronll
The samples simply confirmed my basic assumptions. The next step is to purchase the pro version. No big mystery, I'm simply thinking about ways that a client-provided Sketchup model can help save some time in my modeling. Since my rendering software is not off-the-shelf, I need to program my own interfaces. Thanks again.
