MMeyers
For the last few years I have been an architecture student, but have recently come to the conclusion that it probably isn't for me. However, I am still very much interested in the field of architecture, just not so much from the design standpoint. Because I have always been skilled with computers and all the modeling programs, I have started looking into design visualization. I am trying to find some direction to go in, so I am hoping to find out what sort of educational requirements the field has (I don't think I want to finish an architecture degree), how to get into the industry, or any other information about what a career in visualization would be like. Any information provided would be greatly appreciated.
Ernest Burden III
I have started looking into design visualization. You will need many skills, but no degree or certifications, its an open field. there are a number of threads similar to this one on this site, perhaps you should search for them and read how we've answered these questions for others. You would be wise to study art, however. That could really help you go beyond what you learn in architectural or computer courses.
