BrianKitts
I'm having trouble locating a thread that does a direct comparison of vray and maxwell. The scene is an indoor/outdoor dining table with wood truses overhead and exterior lighting coming in from the left side. I can't for the life of me find it, and I'm not sure if the thread was here or over on chao's forum. I'm fighting to setup company rendering standards and our San Francisco office is buying a handful of maxwell licenses. I'm trying to explain that I feel maxwell is still a toy, and not a tool that it is probably still a year out for being able to be used in our production workflow. We work on too short of deadlines, make too many changes at the last minute and have requests for animation all the time. How do you tell a client I can give you really pretty images but I'm sorry we can't animate this unless you don't want delivery for 4 months? (sorry went on a rant) Although I'm a huge supporter of vray I'm keeping maxwell and fry on my radar for the future but for now I'm just not supporting it and I need some documentation to back up my statements. I guess saying devin has more maxwell licenses than anyone I know and is now using vray doesn't mean anything to them anyways if anyone knows of the thread I mentioned I would GREATLY appreciate the help.
