C.Vestal
Have anyone out there created a BIM model for a client to hand over once the model is initially created?? We have a construction client who do not want to get into the 3D aspect but are willing to outsource the modeling until they get the talent in house. I am curious to what issues you might have run into. Materials standards, libraries....ect. thanks,
frank1331
Not sure on the details of the client. But unless they have REVIT they cannot use the model. And if they have REVIT and can't produce a model, it may be pretty difficult for them to even extract any of the modeling information.
C.Vestal
Yes, they have Revit, they are a contractor who specialize in cost analysis and scheduling. They presently do not have 3D talent in house. Aparently no one has.......
EddieLeon
BIM is a collaborative platform for multiple parties to share information about a building. At some point you should either give the client the model or make arrangements with them to manage it for them. If you give it to them they should pay a premium for it since it's not a regular Max or 3ds model.
