Tim Saunders
I have always struggled with this issue. I want to make an animation at 1280x1024. This is what I rendered my frames at (with square pixels). This resolution is not one of the options in the presets. When I click the "custom settings" tab, I would think I could change the resolution there. But the pixel frame suze dimentions are disabled (grey). I have tried opening the frames in a larger preset project, but when I export the movei, even when I change the export settings to the desired resolution, the frames are just cropped and the movie plays at the smaller preset frame size. the same thing happens when I pick a preset with a larger frame size, except instead of cropping my frames, the movie frame is larger with a black frame around my frames. There has to be a simple answer to this, but I can;t seem to find it in any of the settings, or the help files.
BrianKitts
rendering at 1280x1024 you are obviously not using a standard preset so the defualt editing mode won't work for you.... after you switch to the custom settings tab, in the first drop down menu, switch the editing mode to "desktop" and you will find you unlock all the settings to setup your scene as you please.
