dream
Hi guys, need help here, right now i have a project to make an animation. And i'm really sure that my PC cannot handle it on its own, i think it could be done by network rendering. So we have Local Area Network that use in my office, can you guys advise me how to do network rendering with LAN. Thanks guys,
manta
Yes, you'll be using backburner, your main computer will be the manager, and all the other computers will be server's, each computer will be assigned a frame of the animation by the manager and that frame will be transfered back to the main computer when finished, and on and on, until finished... BrianKitts
in the max help section do a search for backburner.... the first item in the list will be "basic procedures for backburner" and that will guide you in your setup.

only3d
or u could just break up the sequence into smaller bits, save each 1 as a different file and just render them separatly on each pc. thats what i did when i was in a hurry & didnt have time to hassle with the technique. besides there are other advantages to this method, but whtever u do DO NOT render it directly to an animation but frames! beholed youve been warned!
