Crazy Homeless Guy
anyone know how to strip RPC's completely out of a Max file? they are giving me problems while netwrok rendering and I thought I had removed all them.
Tim Fairbanks
Maybe work it the other way... Merge everything EXCEPT rpc's into a new, clean scene. Requires some re-constructing of any environment settings, etc., but should clean out any rpc garbage (if you're careful not to inadvertently merge any rpc's into the new scene file). BrianKitts
you don't need to merge into a new file...... just make sure you have your "helper" objects visible when you delete the RPC content. An "RPC proxy rule set" is created as a helper object when you fill your scene with RPCs. So even if you delete all the objects, that helper is still there and may be whats causing your headaches. Once you delete that you should be good. somewhere in your scene theres a little helper box that you need to nix..... the thing is tiny so.... the easiest way to find it is to do a select by name and just type RPC, it should pull it up so you can remove it.
