Stephen Eggleton
I have had no trouble with import dwgs (2008) using the import command up until yesterday. Now when I import them I only get the object ID, selection box and pivot point, when looking at the named selection dialog box it informs me that the objects have a 0 face count. Any help would be greatful. Stephen
Mechadus
If you have autocad, try saving your .DWGs out as Autocad 2000 format... seems its more stable sometimes than the newer formats. -Nick
Stephen Eggleton
Thanks Nick, but I already save as 2000 so it can't be that, however I just tried the converse i.e. save as a 2008 file and it still doesn't work. Any variable that might effect the import? Otherwise I might just have to re-install. Stephen
Ricardo Eloy
DWG import has never been really stable, regardless the version (2000 or later). Maybe that's why there are 3 different ways (file link, acad drawing and legacy). Try all of them.
Stephen Eggleton
file link does bring the dwg in OK, but I'm more used to using the import command.
