Dave Buckley
I wanted to start a thread that extends a bit away from the normal night/day shots we usually see, i was hoping people would share there ideas and techniques that could incorporate some 'hollywood' into there arch viz, dramatic lighting effects to spice up there scenes. UNIFORM are particularly good at this, just check out the latest edition of 3D world. Everyone can produce night and day shots to there own standard, but what about taking it further??? Stills or animations that carry meaning, drama and narrative. Check out the likes of Peter Sanitra and Marek Denko for the kind of drama, lighting i am talking about. Take these techniques and incorporate them into our arch viz How about it????

Dave Buckley
me too, i just can't get my head round how they achieve their results in terms of lighting, once i master one lighting solution, it takes me ages to think of how others would be done, so i wanted people to share thoughts and techniques etc. Hopefully the thread will turn into a lighting resource that escapes from the norm. I'd love to be able to light scenes the way those guys do, but i just never no where to start or what kind of processes to follow, those guys seem to just knock things up in there spare time.
