Jason Matthews
Type in "shader basic parameters" in the serch bar. It tells you certain type of materila characteristics that each shader is used for.

Ken Walton
About a year or so ago, I had asked a similar question and I thought I got a link to another thread on here (can't find it now). I thought Strat had answered it - kind of a reference like: Blinn: I use for ________ and ________ Phong: I use for ________ and ________ Haven't checked the "help" lately so I don't know if it really goes into more detail than it did before.
