manta
Well you don't need to use a "high" preset on your FG, but you should raise your AA samples...I can't see them, but they are probably not high enough...use low in FG presets...

Is the problem in the material? Thanks
Ravendark
You should certainly take it off the High setting, really nice looking results can be acheived on the draft setting. In the AA settings, i use Min = 1 and Max = 16, and change the filter to mitchell. This is usually the last thing i do though as it will increase render time. Are you using Global Illumination? I start with GI and then switch on Final Gather later to fine tune the image. Experiment with Number Of GI Photons per light, sampling radius and the number of Photons per sample within the Global Illumination rollout. Also make sure you have got logarithmic exposure on in the environment rollout.
Tommy Burns
You need photons alright and just use a draft setting for FG it's enough to start with. Also you need to turn your photon emitter on in at least one of your lights and I usually use 10,000 in all the photon size settings although you might not need these that high either. Lets us know how you get on?
Justin Hunt
Tommy Burns - it will really help you to fully understand what each of the settings do. For example 10 000 average photons is fine for draft renderings but not of a detailed rendering, and a 10 000 max sampling radius will be too large of a 3mX3m room but too small for a football stadium. Tommy Burns
sorry bout that just trying to help someone as I walked out the door hadn't time to go into much detail. I was just saying really what I would start with was 10,000 but I mainly do exteriors and yes your right I would sometimes use more or less for interiors. All I really wanted to say was "use photons with FG".
Justin Hunt
Quite right, I just wanted to explain that it is important to understand what the settings do rather than just plugging in just any number. JHV
inflames
I agree with everything that has been said so far, but if i were you i would increase the number of Diffuse Bounces inside Final Gather (try 3 or 4 instead of 1 to light up a bit the darker areas). I really hope it helps. Cheers.
