max8 imports but max9 doesnt

Hi all

 

When i try to import a autocad drawing made in acad2007 into max9 (winx64bit) i get an error but if i import the same file in max 8 ( rest everything same) i don't get any error and file imports easily. Even if i try to save the cad file in cad 2004 format i get the same problem

 

What can be the error?

1- I always save my CAD files in 2000 format. It's a bit safer, me thinks.

2- Importing DWG is very unstable. Sometimes, a file imports fine in one machine and simply gives you an error (no elements) in another with the same specs. The one thing I do when this happens is to try all 3 methods. One has to work!
