proces2
I am wondering if this is a bug. I am getting repeat problems of selecting one or more Viz files in Explorer (i am cleaning out the autoback folder, for instance), then a Windows2000 error message pops up saying- Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows... Has anyone else had this problem? I can still open the file in Viz without any problems. But, I obviously can't move or delete the file because whenever i touch it in Explorer - it crashes it and restarts Explorer and the whole desktop. sean
abicalho
Turn off "Save File Properties" in Preferences > Files. Then Re-save your VIZ file and it shouldn't crash explorer. This happens because File Properties saved from VIZ was > 10K and Explorer crashes when that happens. Alexander
quizzy
This is also the case with Max4.2..
nisus
In XP floating over a *.max-file in explorer makes the app crash... awful!
sanzpont
You can DELETE or MOVE youre files inside VIZ/MAX, just click file/open and in this window you can move, rename, or delete, windows won't crash.... my 2 cents -=sanzpont=- [ December 14, 2002, 07:52 AM: Message edited by: sanzpont ]
Dave Buchhofer
Also another alternative would be to use a seperate breowser.. (Acdcee32 works extremely well for this, and is a quick download.) for problem files. i've had to do this at times if I forget to shut off the file props (Or dont want to!) Dave.
