RyanSpaulding
Hey guys, In the past, I've worked a bit with Maxwell and one of the nice features was a 'pack and go' function. What this did was allow the user to choose a destination directory for files...and it would save the maxwell file, along with all textures and needed elements into that directory chosen. This made it easy to go from workstation to workstation on different networks, being confident that you wont be missing anything when you open the file elsewhere. Does this exist as a script? A reverse lele script would be nice too...bringing all butmap RGB output back to 1.0 from the .255.
alrawli
Max has resource gather, think its in the 'utilities' section now under 'more'. This lets you do exactly as youve said. If your doing very large scenes it can be a bit unreliable but thats probably more down to our dodgy network than max.
Tommy Burns
I just use archive
alrawli
Yeap archive and then asset tracking are what we now use, archive can be a bit of a pain if your working across a network with lots of folders though.
Chad Warner
As far as the reverse lele script, can't you just put in a value of 3.92 to bring it back up to 1?
RyanSpaulding
Nice. I never saw that resource collector. There is seriously so much hidden in 3ds it's rediculous. Chad, yeah, that will work. Thanks for that. I think the script would be a bit nicer if it was a 'set at' value instead of a multiplier...but this will work. Thanks again. Crazy Homeless Guy
Also, Lele has a Vray stuff collector script. I don't think Max's will collect things like Vray proxies.

jucaro
The MAX archive function will include all maps and xrefs. even VRayHDRI maps and VRMesh proxies. And nested xrefs within files. So far, I've only tried 2 level deep xrefs
