alrawli
Looks to me like youve got some double faces or two pieces of geometry in the same spot. If not could be a graphics driver setting try switching to opengl or directx depending what your already on. Go to Customize Preferences Viewport You can change the driver from there. mibs_studio
there is no 2 sided mesh in one spot because it just extruded single spline. I`ll try to tweak driver. Let you know later. Thank you so much
STRAT
looks like your vidcard or gl settings. mine's constantly looking like that even though my mesh is perfect. personally i pay it no attention, and dont let it worry me
Tommy Burns
This happens to me also. The model starts off okay and then it happens. I have dual quadro fx4500. I think its a bug in 2008 hopefully they fix it with a service pack. Would love to know what it is.
Tim Fairbanks
We've had this problem for at least 3-4 years using several different models of Nvidia Quadro cards and multiple versions of 3dsmax. Possibly a DirectX glitch (?), or just 3dsmax itself. I'm inclined towards the latter explanation. We've also had some pretty serious problems with geometry disappearing in the viewports - makes it really hard to work when you can't see the object you're trying to work on. alrawli
Im not totally sure on this but did nvidia not develop its own maxtreme graphics driver for using with max? I had this installed on my last 32 bit system when it was acting up and improved things dramatically. Ah just found a link http://www.nvidia.com/object/maxtreme_archive.html

Thanks to alrawli, but after installation, still having the same problem. It always hapen when involving big scene. TimF was right, sometimes i always facing of "unseen mesh". Hmmm figure it out deeply. Let you all know later.
notamondayfan
try this - select your object, then click on your "display" tab, under "display properties", make sure "backface cull" is ticked. you can stop this premantly by going "Customise", "preferences", "viewports" tab, and tick "backface cull on creation".
