maguai
Anyone use a notebook for 3d work? Im looking at the m6300 dell, the alienware 9750 and another company, vigorgaming that has a laptop called the atlantis. I guess you can have a quad core put in it. I already have a dell workstation and not really impressed so Ive tried to see if a gaming computer could work. I know the main difference is the graphics card but Im workstation nvidia graphics card never was so great.

FlyinHawaiian
11 LBS?!! I guess that's what the "Wheeled hard case w/ telescoping handle" is for.
Tamir
11 LBS?!! You're right! 11 LBS is not light, but that's what you get when you opt for a true mobile work-station. I didn't compare between other high-end laptops, but I suspect that most "desktop replacements" out there, won't be light either. Furthermore; next computing systems are built to "military" spec (which can explain the 11 LBS figure)
LSUtigers
It's decent...although it doesn't even offer SATAII hard drives.... you need to shop around... Mtech laptops (Clevo reseller just like Dell/Alienware/etc...) has probably the fastest one and it weighs around 15lbs. Do a google search for the D900C mtech laptop. Good luck
