ihabkal Posted January 11, 2008 Share Posted January 11, 2008 personnaly I think it is a bad move, first you will lose the warranty, second if you get obsessed with getting more power without the specialised cooling system, you will indoubtly keep cranking it up till you burn those cpus, as power usually is addictive. second your system will more likely be more unstable, and in our line of work I find stability to be much better than speed, as if it crashes too much you might lose hours of work, or ruin your hard disk and require a format to get it to work again. so keep the overclocking for gamers and hobbyists IMO.
