VisMaster Webinars Questions

Since I tried to contact them and I got no response, I will ask my questions here and hope somebody can help me.

I suscribe to the free VisMaster Webinars. One is about onyx trees and the other abouts making walls. I think I can't use a computer with ONYX this day and I would know if I must have it open during the formation. My other question is if I must have a microphone or just speakers is ok, mine is broken.

thanks

Louis

I've taken a couple of classes from Brian Smith of VisMasters. You should be fine without having Onyx open as he will have his desktop viewable to you. Be sure to have paper and pen available to take notes. Although your ability to interact with the class and pose questions will be cumbersome, you should be fine not having a mic, but it would of course be better if you did. Be prepaired to recieve a LOT of valuable information.

I'm not sure who you contacted at VisMasters, but I did not see anything come through, so I will answer your question here. For these upcoming free classes we are experimenting with the new Beta of the meeting software. This will allow you to hear the session audio through your browser and to your computer speakers. At the end of the session there will be the opportunity to ask questions, but to do this for free you will have to have a microphone. If you don't have this, you can still use your landline phone and call the US number that is presented in the interface, but there will of course be long distance fees depending upon where you are calling from. There will be a radio button to select how you want to hear the audio, via phone over over the Internet.

Hi i just attended the Onyx Webinar and i wanted to congratulate all the organizers and sponsors for the effort, i thought it was really great and i am seriously considering attending others

some suggestions:

maybe for the best use of time there should be a very specific program to cover topics with a time schedule like:

6 minutes intro

8 minutes basics

12 minutes topic 1

12 minutes topic 2, etc

in general i thought it was very good, i had some audio problems with some words cut off but maybe it was because of my bandwidth, otherwise congratulations again

thanks
