novelh
I need to replicate the mapping style of the columns in the attached jpg onto a set of columns on a different model. What would be the easiest way to go about this. The patterns all need to be random. I do most of my modeling in Autocad and I import into Max 2008. Thanks Sorry for the image. chiquito
mmm sounds fun to do. Having a painting by joan miró or someone like that mapped could be a posibility? adjusting color with PS and just mapping the columns with the same map, you just move around the gizmo
novelh
Thanks. I ended up creating some PS images and UVWmapping them at random. I model mostly in Autocad and a little in Max (such as the columns). Here are some of the progress renders. I have come accross another situation. How can I map a paver around the pool and planters unique to that on the actual pool deck? I am currently having to model those areas seperately to be able to map them. Is there an easier way?
