Dave Oliver
anyone know if there is a way to export a file and all external file links to a self-contained folder? i always have problems opening old files so it would be nice to archive them that way. JamesTaylor
not sure what app your using... but your question is software specific, its not down to the render engine. (i say that as you have posted in the vray forum!) If your using Max or Viz it can be done using File --> Archive which gives you 2 options - Archive & Resource Collector - give each a go and see which works best for you... that is if your using max or viz! Dave Oliver
oh...yeah...i suppose this is kind of a general max question...but since i would need the vray proxies to come too, i guess it could be relevant here
JamesTaylor
fair point, i think if you want to collect vray proxies in your archieve there is a script to do so in Lele's script pack... http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/leles-vray-tools ... also has some other great tools!
