bwsumruld
I've just started this rendering and and I'm getting a lot of noise in the dark areas. I've had this happen before and I fixed it however I can't remember how for the life of me. I have posted the image and settings. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using Viz 2008 with Vray 1.5. Craig Ramsay
Well the noise that you're getting from the direct light coming through the windows is probably caused by low light samples, if you increase the lights subdivisions that should clear up. The other noise on the ceilings looks like it due to your irradience map settings. Try changing your irradience map pre-set to high and the interpolation samples to 50 - 60, that should also help smooth things out but will increase render time. bwsumruld
thanks guys! However, i think that i have actually fixed the problem. I was getting too much in a hurry and i forgot to use the Fresnel Reflections and i had my Refl. glossiness really low like a .45. Once i had fixed that and re-rendered the image the noise went away. Here is the latest images. thanks again and i hope this will help you blowback.
