Library Issue

Hi all,

 

As I have experienced working on M ray is that the issue regarding the scene support as V-ray.

 

The issue comes that as the arch interior and arch exterior from evermotion are available through those scene one can easily read the settings for v-ray as a support to his Studies which is actually a very valuable resource.

 

The Question is : is there any Library for mental ray as well where we can get some pre made scene as a reference file.

Would be very helpfull, in the meantime use Master Zaps script to automatically convert vray materials to A&D

thanks for the replies.

 

My major problem is regarding that we can easily convert those scenes into MR scenes but the issue is they are actually made perfect for Vray.

with v ray lights cameras etc.

 

we can only change the materials to use the models in it.

 

I was actually looking for some library which is pre made for MR scenes if it is there that can be really helpful to study the systems and settings.

Although that will be like just copying the settings.

 

But can still work in many ways.

no there are no mental ray scenes like that as far i know ...which is actually nice as you get to follow your method and reach a good visual

I thought I saw something on Evermotion with mentalray scenes, I could be wrong though.

actually I cant find anything on evermotion except those MR Shaders.

 

but Jeff Patton is converting one scene of evermotion exteriors into MR.

so lets hope for another good thing coming up.

hes not converting to put it in a library and ship it ...he was doing it for himself and to show how mental ray stands

I was trying to say the same

as soon as they do complete the scene they will start telling to all us guys about the process which they adopted and some settings (HOPE THEY DO)

 

that will inturn be a great tutorial in itself.
