Aaron2004
Hello, Can anybody clue me in on how to get this to work? In the attached picture, I have two lamps. The scene is being lit mainly by GI (IR Map, LC...normal settings for both). I wanted these lamps to project scallops. I don't even know if that is the right term for it, just the projected cone of light on the floor/table. As of now, the only place it's doing this is on the north wall right next to the lamp. Honestly, I don't even think that this would look good or realistic in this case. At first I just wanted to see how it would look, but now that I can't get it I really want to know HOW to do it and why the light is only hitting the wall and not the floor. Is it a material issue? The light is a VRAY sphere in a lamp. ::EDIT:: I have attached an image where I use purple lights. The surrounding furniture hardly change color when the light hits it....except for the white sheets on the bed. Thanks, Aaron
marksee
I use photometric point light with a web .ies file. Seems to usually work well for me, but you have to set it w/ a high multiplier (as opposed to radiosity)
