Tay othman
Ann Your work is great....! When you are working with metalray exposure control. it will affect the gamma value of your image to ensure realistic simulation of camera,so there is not clipped shadows or blown out highlights. then this data is stored in the exposure of the output image. the problem is when saving to JPG its 8 bit/chaneel....So color clipping occurs because jpg is not enough to handle such exposure Data in images. So you should render to 16bit tif or 32bit HDR formats this will retain the gamma value and then you can change the overview exposure and add photo-filter for your image in photoshop or other image editing software.dynamically you'll never harm any pixel inside your scene. ap3
Hey Tay, I got sick last week, haven't get chance to reply back. Thanks for your reply, about mr i just a beginner before i start i study & read differ sources & forum, knew that it needs to be patient and take time. you said render to 16 or 32bit hdr format, is this selection under renderer-sampling quality/options/frame buffer type? if this is the case the images submit was using (integer 16 bits per channel) if not can give me a bit more specific on that issue. Thanks. AP
Justin Hunt
The issue is with the saving of the Gamma, you have it set to be the images own gamma, rather set it to system. It will save it with the 1.5 gamma to set in the preferences. Rather save to 16bit .tiff over .jpg. more colour info and not loss of quality. If file size is an issue then try 16bit .png JHV
Tay othman
Ann I hope you're getting better....! I mean when you save renderings to images use HDR or Tiif image files instead of jpg. and when saving tiff or HDR images you'll not worry about the gamma
