t.fzr
Hey all, New project I'm doing. Here are a few testrenders... Having some king of trouble with my glass, there is this deformation going on behind the glass butt I can't seem to find the solution for this... Help would be welcome Using Vray with Daylight system and physical cams Other comments are also welcome of course
Eric Sosa
nice house/institution and nice start ....fast comments - glass: ISO = 1.0 aprox (to avoid deformations) - huge fireplace...is it the rigth size? - need to work u'r textures - not crazy bout the furnitures..tho back with more comments after watching the renders again it would be nice to see bigger renders to make better critics/comments cheers...Eric
t.fzr
Thx a lot Eric, - Glass: You probably meant IOR=1.0 (works perfect thx) - Fireplace is indeed large (size is 2.70mx3.40m) next update I'll make some bigger renders Thx for your time/critics

shaneis
It is a nice start, suggest a couple of tweaks though for your stone wall as it's so close to the camera that it needs high detail... 1. Grass texture flattens out to a green blob - maybe use displacement /or a different texture with higher resolution, make the stone wall a few centimeters higher or lower the grass plane to hide the edge of the grass (the straight edge on the grass looks odd) 2. Round-off the stone wall a bit to help the displacement or add a coping along the top - it looks great but the sharp edges kill the effect. 3. It's unclear if the water is a pool or a pond...maybe add a hand rail (pool) or aquatic plants (pond) 4. Cement render texture on the building looks out of scale - too big - at that distance it would be less prominent (in my opinion) Couple of images attached to illustrate... t.fzr
Thx Shaneis this helps a lot !! I was thinking of using a plane with some vray fur on it for the grass but maybe a displacement map should do the job as wel ... great idea to put the grass edge a little lower or higher. The stone wall is still in construction as you can see (the sharp edge kills indeed ... will try to fix that) The water should be a pool ... I need to add some pool furniture and maybe the water should be more transparant? Cement is indeed to big, changed that already again a big thx will keep you updated
t.fzr
new update tell me what you think about it and what mistakes I didn't see yet or what I should work on
Eric Sosa
humm better than before...but: if u want to keep the cam angle, then u definatelly need to fix the wall & grass textures. u need to use a very large bitmap (pixels) for the wall and assign a uvw to make the stones size look real, then make a displacement map using the same bitmap in b&w. almost the same for the path around the pool. for the grass, you need to use either vray displacementmod or vrayfyr. i would go for vray displacementmod which use less memory and is faster to render. pool water...ughh no god, download a vraymat and try to get a good water colour and reflection. pool hand rail looks white. i suggest u 2 go 2 vraymaterials.de and try some mats for your escene
