Tom Copple
HI, I'm new to VIZ and radiosity. I've been trying to render out an exterior flyby with radiosity, but the lights flicker ( the shot is flying down a lighted bridge - the roadway lights that line the bridge flicker). If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know - thanks! Settings: Initail Quality = 90% Refine iterations = 5 + Render Direct Illumination *when I had it set to Re-use Direct Illumination it didn't flicker, but my shadows came out as bands (striations) across the surface - they looked very very wrong. Ricardo Eloy
Try using the filter settings....It's ZERO by default, but I think if you change that to 1 or even 3, it'll work (depends on how flickered your animation is) [] Rick
nisus
Hi, What exposure control did you use? Do not use automatic for animations (cfr. the manual) rgds nisus
Tom Copple
I tried setting the filter to 2, but it still flickers. I'm using automatic exposure control (read this was best for "night time" renderings).
Tom Copple
Coffe hasn't reached brain yet... I'll try it with a different exposure control. Thanks! - tc
