Macer
Just found this thread too. Your results look good. Another option for the blur would be: If you use combustion (worth a trial at least), render out rpf files with velocity checked and apply a rpf motion blur operator in combustion. It 'remembers' how fast things are moving and applies blur accordingly (fully adjustable too). Quick and easy!
Dave Buchhofer
Results look good.. personally i would start to add a volume fog to the scene to give it a little more depth fading out into the distance.. (Or do it in post with a Depth channel) We just did something similar but opted to just use several layers of AfterFX rain + a volume..
baco
You're definitely on the right track! The secret to it all is reference, reference, reference. The only way to get good at emulating real life is to refer back to it. Keep it up! Rain is starting to look better. (Also, notice the light blueish color of the rain in your reference. You can easily add or adjust this in PS. I honestly wouldn't bother too much with trying to dial it in in Max, get it close, then, tweak in post!)[/quot Hello, I am from Porugal, im trying to do my rain appear in render but i cant do it, i dont no what is the problem. Can you help me? I work whith Vray in Max. I make The Particle Flow, it works whith any problem, only in the render it dont appear, and i dont now what is goin on whith it.
