System Requirements

I was sure there was discussion about this before, but can't find it, so:

 

I am running a P4-1.6Mhz with 512Mb, GeForce2, WinXPpro.

 

With large models (multiple multi-storey buildings & terrain), I really battle to keep VIZ stable.

I would like proper data to motivate a request for a bigger system to our IS department, so:

 

For those with few problems:

what do you mean by keeping it stable?

Is it crashing on you?

 

I cant believe its your hardeware specs.

Its either your windows installation, VIZ installation, virtual memory settings or your modeling techniques. If anything that it has to do with hardware it has to be memory timings.

 

Try to describe your stability problems, and when is it hapening (wireframe... orbiting... rendering... bolean...).

 

But before all than please make sure win98 or ME isnt your OS as that would be the problem for sure.
