robkar97
I know this is an odd questions and maybe not the right forum to post to, but since I know Master Zap frequents this list I was kind of hoping he would stumple across this post :-) I'm trying to do fairly simple renderings with some Hair and fur, set to "mr prim". My scene uses Final gather (no GI) and is lit with a single area photometric light, appx 5000 cd, shadows set to "shadow map" (I find this looks better and renders faster with hair) and I use "mr photographic exposure control" set to "cd/m2" and an exposure value of 8.0. Problem = The geometry renders just the way I want to, but the hair is pitch black! See sample rendering: Both the hair and the donut share the same color (almost pure white). Above image is the exact same scene, only with NO exposure control. Above image is the exact same scene, only WITH exposure control but NOT using photmetric lights. Tip! When using "fast rasterizer" (render tab) the render time goes WAY down, maybe 80%... All the best Robert
WAcky
select your hair and fur object > go to the mr Parameters rollout > check 'apply mr Shader' Then go into your material editor, make any kind of material and drag it into the empty slot under the box you just checked on your hair and fur object.
