STRAT
where to start? best important lesson - look at photographs and similar subjects, then look at your image, and spot the differences. i know for a fact that a real photo wouldn't have a sky like that, the people would be naturally integrated into the scene, the road and road markings would look more natural, the cars wouldn't look plastic, the photo would be naturally lit, naturally colour balanced, a lot more crisp and sharp (relatively speaking of course), less colour contrasted and saturated etc etc etc. these are what makes up a natural scene. your modelling and lighting dont look too shabby, but this image fails in the cheap use and application of basic textures. you must put time and effort in not only picking and choosing your textures (please dont use standard texture library textures. but make your own wherever possible), but also colour balancing and contrasting and blending them into your chosen scene. If you must use 'standard models and textures' then doctor them up a bit to make them look more individual. whether you're a nube or a pro, a great image takes a lot of time and effort. this image looks speedily thrown together, but also looks to have the bases of potential
