Mental Ray Problem

I'm making neon lights for a city. I press F9 and I get this message saying:

 

PHEN 0.3 error 051011: shader "max_is_material_editor" not found

PHEN 0.3 error 051011: shader "max_DefaultMaterial" not found

PHEN 0.3 error 051011: shader "max_SpotLight" not found

PHEN 0.3 error 051011: shader "max_OmniLight" not found

Is There anyway that I can fix that?

The only thing that would give this result would be one of:

 

- you deleted 3dsmaxXXXX.dll (XXXX is your max version, i.e. 9, 2008, etc.) in the \mentalray\shaders_standard\shaders\

 

- you deleted some other DLL that file depends on

 

- your computer is having a massive issue somewhere, perhaps harddisk going on the fritz

 

These messages is simply telling you that these shaders couldn't be found (as in "loaded"). All these are standard shaders from the 3dsmaxXXXX.dll file. So they should always be there in a correct installation. You shouldn't even be able to get rid of them without somehow screwing up the 3dsmaxXXXX.dll or any of it's dependencies....
