smr_VIZ
Through my test and some tutorial, I think VRay use Refraction to control a material's transparency. So if I applied a little bit of grey to Refraction slot, then the material will become transparent. the value 1 equals to 100% transparency. Can any expert confirm this? smr_VIZ
Yes, you also have an opacity slot in the maps. What are you trying to do? I am trying to create a glass curtain wall for a highrise. I used to use falloff for opacity map to create transparency. But other people told me the right way to do it in VRay is using refraction. Tommy L
Yes. Put the falloff map into the refraction swatch. Do you understand how falloff works?
