nodar1978
hi guys I've got one question. most of you should know this. I’ve got magazine 3d world, and I found there some information about raybox and render server and etc. but I can’t understand clearly everything. Please could you help me? I use 3ds max for modelling and RENDERING (more radiocity). What is a best way for fast rendering? My pc is 4Gb RAM, Intel Qore Quad CPU Q 6600 @ 2,40Ghz . and VIDEO CARD is: XFX GeForce 8800GTS 512MB DDR3 DVI PCI-E. render takes usually long time, if there are many objects in project. Of course I have to decrease the quantity of objects, quantity of objects, but there should be some other ways. Because some time many objects project is necessary in project. So I found small information about Ray Box. Is it what I’m looking for? Or it does not help rendering so good? What is a helpful and raffle how much does cost? Please any information about quick render is worm welcome Thank yu very much
shaneis
The ARTVPS gear isn't cheap. If you're looking for more rendering power, it would be more economical to buy a couple of quad-core PC's like the one you described in your post.
AJLynn
Is Max's radiosity multithreaded? You've got a fast computer - same as mine actually - so I wouldn't go to something crazy like dedicated (expensive) hardware before trying some other techniques. mental ray might be a lot faster for you.
