File Locking?

I have been using Max for a few years now and I have never thought of this until now. Is there a way to lock a file from being opened or changed by someone without knowing a password or log-in?

What about approaching it not from a 3dsMax specific approach, but rather using windows to set folder access permissions, and then you can place your max files in folders that have locked access based upon your login.

BKittsARC: That's a good idea. So what you are saying is that I could just place my Max files in a seperate folder and lock that particular folder from being opened unless a log-in is given............right? What about if it's on a server? Same deal?

at the most basic level you could store your files in a password protected file, like a zip or rar type.

If using vray, it can be made into a vrayproxy. If people can be trusted, just freeze it.
