jorisAR
Hi there, These are some test renders for my thesis about architectural visualization. They are just test renders, I did them quick cause I still got a lot of work on my thesis. Within 3 weeks I'll post the final ones. Is also got a site: www.paliox.be/cgportfolio Here you can follow my process a bit, and 3 weeks from now, the thesis will be on the site (I'm afraid it will be in dutch, but nevertheless the pictures will say the most, with time indication). I will render this scene starting with scanline and then Mental Ray and finally Vray, I want to show the difference in the different renderers. And what GI does en color bleeding...and with the time indication you can see how much longer it takes to get a better of different result. I'm making it for students at my school, to let them understand that it isn't that "difficult" to make a fairly good render... If you have comments or critics, please share them...perhaps things I have to pay more attention too. On my site there are some other test samples. jorisAR
I modelled all of it in Autocad 2007, and afterwards imported it in Max... The furniture models are Max models. And I really like using Vrayedgestex. Thanks for the reply. greetz
Dave Buckley
would you be willing to share the building model for non-commercial use and for personal learning purposes. I am currently teaching myself mental ray but my modelling skills are not great. i am looking for an exterior building model to help me with my studies, and i love the quality of your model and the style. it is perfect for what i need. as i said, it will not be used for commercial purposes. it is solely for personal use regards i may also be able to help with mental ray and lighting if you need it
jorisAR
It's not my design,it's an existing building but either way...it's for personal purpose so... Do you want the autocad file, or the max file, with models and all....the only problem wil be the textures and materials... Let me know and give me your email, then I'll see how we can manage. And perhaps your help can be useful with Mental Ray, we'll stay in touch. greetz
Dave Buckley
thank you very much just the max file will be fine, and also there is no need to worry about materials and textures, i do not need furniture models either. It is solely the building that i need and the surrounding landscape. my email is daveb867@hotmail.com kind regards
