k99
Hi guys, I just got into visualization lately and was hoping that some of you can give me more advices to make my rendering looks even better and realistic. Software: Maya 8.5 | MentalRay | Photoshop
WAcky
its pretty hard to actually see much of the subject. Maybe take the shot again from where the lady is standing on the opposite corner (get rid of the trees obviously) and re-post so we can get a nice eye full of the building. k99
Hi Wacky, Here is the close up of the building. I did not have any CA from the architect who draft the building, so the colour theme is abit off. Feel free to advice.
WAcky
much better. try adjusting the camera again so you get the whole building in the shot. Want to post some settings so we can start to get some cleaner renders? Change your sampler to mitchell for a sharper render. it looks like you have haze bumped up a bit on your lighting system. If this is true i reckon you should set it back down to 0. I used to do this but realised it just blows out your colours and you lose that nice daylight brightness. Im a max boy so im not sure if there are any differences between the two (in terms of mental ray)
k99
Hi Wacky, I've change the "haze" and filter sample. It does looks better. I've rendered front and back of the building. What else can i change? Like to have some tips.
WAcky
Hi Kev, I reckon the next step is to get a much brighter sun and sky. Are you using the daylight system? Maybe set the time of day to about noon to get a nice bright scene. Also drop the camera down to head height so its a better simulation of what it would look like from a passer-by. Im not sure how much entourage work you've done but once you get your clean render and start working on that your image will really come to life. But its easy to get ahead of yourself Try those things and re-post.
AFK_Matrix
I would also suggest you do some more work on your textures. The tarmac and grass are noticeably tiled.
k99
I've done some entourage work before, but sometimes you just not sure what works with what and what doesn't work... thats why I here looking for some ideas. Any idea what entourage works I should start with? As for the texture, I agreed that the tillable texture needs abit of work, but I prefer to work on it in Photoshop after it was rendered mainly because I am trying to rendered it in multiple passes, so its kinda give me more flexibilities in terms of dirt, dusk, saturation and etc ...
