Billabong
this is a project i have been doing in my free time, there will be about 5 of these condos i think, and the clubhouse, will be on the inland waterway as well with a boat marina behind it. , so I have been doing a lot practicing on my lighting on the condo, and could use some feedback on it, but the grass and such on the clubhouse isnt final, i just put it there for the time being, thanks again for looking
Ricardo Eloy
I like them. The angles really help making them more photoreal, but the overall blue tint bugs me a bit. I guess you could benefit from a warmer tint...
Billabong
Thanks Rick, I'll try and work on that
Trevor Tizard
I'd be tempted to remove every other sun lounger too - looks very crowded.

Horhe
Nice WIP. The second image seems the darkest of them all. I with Rick on the blue tint issue.

blowback
I think the lighting in the 1st one is good. You might want to add a little to the interior / window reflection....wait.... Is there no windows on the main floor? (flood ready) Wild.
Billabong
Thanks Christopher, no the bottom part is a parking garage. thanks again
Billabong
I actually finished the back of the condo last week, but haven't had time to render , so I decide to let it render last night while i was sleeping. There are some issues I have already noticed, one is the mesh right below the parking garage vents and the second is there is some color bleeding around the bottom molding. Guess I didn't have my Ir.map settings high enough. I was wondering if there was anything else you guys thought I should work on. Thanks again for looking
blowback
ya. That looks great. I would give the channel edge some texture. (blown out white line is distracting) keep rockin.

BillyElNino
Small thing, the boat seems to be on the quay side rather than in the water, maybe lower it and move it back / scale it...

Billabong
If anyone has minute, I was hoping that could help me on this. I am having a helluva time finding a free panoramic sunset. The one I'm using is a free one from Hyperfocal, but I think it might be a bit to dramatic for a scene like this, also do you think my enviroment feel matches with the sky. That is one of the hardest things I have been trying to do lately. Thanks for any help guys.
blowback
I think you could do a little ajusting in photoshop, Bring it up a little... (we call it "jesus is comming" sky) I like those skys personally. I think it's good! Keep on keepin on! I think you could bring back the lamp post, just put it to the side, or frame the comp with two...IMHO
SandmanNinja
That last dusk render looks really good, Billa... I liked the daytime render on the first page, too - very impressive!

Billabong
I know its not textured or anything, but I was really happy the way this came out so I decide to show it. The is the land layout the the condos, clubhouse and marina will be on, the caved in parts you see are the inland water and ponds. Thanks for looking
Tommy L
Did you generate the geometry using displacement map?
Billabong
i made the ground plane, the drew out the waterway with a spline, duplicated that spline and extruded it and then booled it through tthe ground, then I converted my original spline to a poly, the added a subdivide modifier and made it pretty high, collapsed it and selected a goup of the inners polys and with soft-selection enabled, pulled down
Horhe
i made the ground plane, the drew out the waterway with a spline, duplicated that spline and extruded it and then booled it through tthe ground, then I converted my original spline to a poly, the added a subdivide modifier and made it pretty high, collapsed it and selected a goup of the inners polys and with soft-selection enabled, pulled down Woow quite some work there... would be faster with displacement with the same results. Looking great! Nice attention to detail is starting to show. Like the bridges and the overall look.
