natalyam
Hello Everyone, I am new to the forum and 3d max. I am counting on your expertise to solve a rendering problem. Please no laughing, attached image is my first work. It is rendered with MR and A&D materials. The problem is with the speckles or dots on the metal stools’ legs, the reflective ceiling and some on the glass countertop in front of the stools. It looks like the speckles only appear on the reflective surfaces (such as metal and glass) and in their reflections. Does anyone know how to fix this? There are a few threads on this forum about strange dots in the renderings, but none of the suggested helped my case. The speckles are there regardless of any quality settings. Any advise is valuable. Thanks.
Justin Hunt
Are you setting the glossie samples high enough? or even using fast interpolate? Which max version are you using? There is a problem with the pearl preset adding a crazy noise bump that makes it very difficult to get rid of the speckles. Can you post some screen grabs of the problem material settings JHV
