hi

Can anyone please help me with this

we are to make a 2d map and color it and mark some places in it

we are able to find the location on google earth pro and also thru mapquest.com what we want to do is that we want to save the area which we want to make as an image file

take it to cad and then make using it as a refernce

but the problem that we are facing both in GE and mapquest is that first i dont know how to save an image from GE or mapquest. Secondly the area we want to save is big

if i try to screen capture the total area the zoom is too much and i dont see any detail like road netwroks(like we see proper roads on GE pro) and if i try to zoom in and then screen capture then i dont see the complete area. so i have to take different screenshots and then join them in pshop.. we face the same problem in mapquest.com

the maps are of very good quality in both the places

is there any way by which i can save a hi res image of the total area without having to take screen shots and joining them.

any method either thru gogole earth pro

or mapquest.com

regards

I'm actually having to do the same thing in GE right now. What I did was take a screen capture in GE and load that as my ref. but then Ill go back in GE and use the ruler to measure exactly how long and wide the city blocks are.If I use the same method to measure the the length and width of the buildings in GE, then everything is scaled correctly in my 3D app. So far , that method is working perfectly
